How to put a house on a ferry.

A house on a ferry

It's not often you see a house being transported on a ferry. Well that's just what happened when we built a modular home and transported it to South Stradbroke Island.

All our modular pre-fabricated homes are stronger than your average house and built to withstand being transported by truck (and in this case by ferry).

This modular house was built in our factory at Lawnton and then dismantled into six pieces and transported to South Stradbroke Island. A great option for those places where local house builders may
not be readily accessible.

Tomi Chan was responsible for the building and it was the first house where he was the tradie-in-charge.  Tomi was excited about the challenge and with the Hoek Modular Homes team marked the walls outs, set out the frame, built the walls, stood the walls, did the fix out and the cladding.

The six house pieces including a garage were assembled just like a jigsaw puzzle on site. A special thanks goes out to Daniel and Darren, our master installers. Thanks everyone for a great job!

Our happy clients are now living in their new modular home, enjoying life on Straddie.
