History Of

Hoek Modular homes

A Queensland Family Based Business Celebrating 50 Years In Business.

Hoek Homes was formed in 1967 as a Queensland family partnership. Dean Hoek, company CEO, is a 3rd generation builder. Our company has been established in the Brisbane area for 50 years. During this time we have built a reputation with the Department of Housing, Master Builders Association, local councils and families as quality home builders who take pride in their workmanship.

With humble beginnings in Brisbane, Ern Hoek chose to move his young family to Mt Isa. Ern’s younger brother and father joined them. They had landed a major contract with The Department for Housing and Housing Commission to build 50 houses. This was no mean feat as the only roads to Mt Isa in the 60s were dirt and flood affected. If you needed materials they all came by train. The project was successfully completed on time and set Ern up to return to Brisbane. This time they returned with a new son Dean 1 year of age.

Hoek Homes continued from that time doing more for The Department of Housing who were strict on quality and this gave Hoek Homes a solid foundation for never compromising on quality. As the years passed by, Dean Hoek, showed a love for building and all aspects of the trade. Dean completed his carpentry apprenticeship, obtained his licence to install sanitary house drainage and received an award for most promising stage apprentice. During this time Dean also became proficient in the operation of bobcats, backhoes and excavators. Dean then gained his Licensed Builder’s Number and joined his father Ern and Uncle Ray and became a partner.

In 2000, Dean ventured on his own and created Hoek Modular Homes, recognising that the modular homes industry was lacking a competitor with a high level of quality and customer service. Today the company has grown and boasts a fantastic team, encompassing in house transport to install teams. Customer service and quality are paramount the same recipe that built Hoek Homes in the 60s has now seen Hoek Modular Homes carry on many years later.

Currently located in Lawnton, on the north side of Brisbane in Queensland, Hoek Modular Homes continues providing customers with a trouble-free building alternative, from selecting the perfect home designs to arranging all of the relevant approvals to installation on-site. Homes are constructed in their entirety with kitchens and tiling through to light fittings and floor coverings at the Brisbane premises, ensuring constant quality control for each home constructed. Once completed, each home is again quality checked and then carefully packed before being transported.
